    I think Chuck is right. Something very similar happened to a friend of mine in Richmond, VA. By the time they let him know they had it, huge storage fees had piled up & it had been broken into & trashed at the impound lot. Stereo gone, windows smashed, battery clipped off at the cables, etc. Nice security they provide for your $100+/day. [img]/images/graemlins/fart.gif[/img]

        In NJ towing companies have contracts with the local PD's and highway authorities as to who tows (police calls) on what days. Find out from the PD in the jurisdiction the car was taken from what towing company was on call that day. You'll probably find your car in their yard.
