• I survived Wilma

I made it home safely! We left for Miami last Thurs. for a wedding and a 3 night cruise in the caribbean for a good friend of ours and we ending up getting stuck in the Atlantic for a couple extra days. We were supposed to be back on Monday at the port of Miami, but it was closed. Then it got pushed back even more due to the damage of the port after the hurricane. The boat did hit some pretty rough waters while we were out there, but the capt. did a good job considering...anyways it was pretty wild leaving Miami, and then coming back to it and seeing the effects of a hurricane...I hope all out JCFer's in the area are doing well and I wish them the best.....

I read this thread title and said "HUH? Did Wilma detour to Chicago?" Glad you came out okay, being at sea anywhere near a hurricane is not my idea of a good time!

Glad to hear it: the only news I could get Tuesday on status (other than the "where is our ice?" news) was about you poor SOBs stranded on the ship(s). What a pain! Glad yer back!
