Wow. Mendes with 3 straight fantastic movies. Not as good as "Road to Perdition", but better than "American Beauty"... and the best war movie in the past decade or so... not sure about past that.

Although, I don't think the majority of movie goers will like Jarhead. Half the people in the theatre I was in didn't like it. Not enough action for them.

Best Drill Sarge scene since Full Metal Jacket. I won't compare this movie to Full Metal but it is closer to that than it is to say a Black Hawk Down.

I was trying to say that I think people were expecting alot more fighting in the movie...and were left dissapointed, since the movie is about a lack of action something like that. .

Yes it is all about the emotional side of the battle it is not an action movie.
