"just have a Back-up plan in case that whole music thing dosent work out..."
"Now remember, things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean. 'Cause if you lose your head and you give up then you neither live nor win. That's just the way it is. ":JOSEY WALES
i would be miserable in the service...never been one for authority and that's exactly what she wanted to force on me...so in essence...i am much happier with myself now...d.m.
"Momma always said life is like a box of chocolates"...wait, that wasen't my mom. My mom just said do whatever ya want, just have an education to fall back on in case things don't work out. If things ain't workin out for ya, the hardest and best thing you can do is change it. It sucks taking those first steps out there, but once that's over the rest is a little easier to deal with. Lots of luck to ya dude
I'd be an attorney had I listened to my Mom. She felt that I was so good at arguing that I'd make a great living at it.
Especially when my arguments against my shcool's haircut and dress code were on the grouds of freedom of expression rather than the more typical "Wow man, this sucks" argument most of my peers were making.
The HS principal was much more bothered by the freedom of expression argument. He contended that those under 18 had no rights, but couldn't point out that limit in the Constitution. His advice: "Don't be a troublemaker, just play along!". Ah, Mississippi in 1973,what a place!
Neither of my parents ever gave me any career advice at all. They basically told me to just find something I like doing. That's easier said than done. I certainly don't like what I'm doing now.
