Better yet: a lot of the stress seems to stem from moderating the discussions so why not just stop moderating this section? Enforce the clear and straightforward rules (no buying or selling outside the Classifieds, no pimping your eBay auctions, no porn) but otherwise let the content of the discussions go where it will. Give anyone who drags their trash out of the off-topic forum one very public warning then the axe. The folks who have no self-control will weed themselves out very quickly, the folks who enjoy a hearty debate won't have to wonder if their next post will be interpreted wrongly by the admins, and the admins can stop spending so much time herding cats.

This is the deal...We are "friends", like any friends we TALK. Friends talk about EVERYTHING there is in life. How much "guitar" crap can you talk about..I mean how many times can you ask..."uhhhh who ever heard a 5150".. [img]/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

It's always good to be able to talk with like minded people and ask questions or advice about guitars , amps , your job , your misfortunes or just want to "vent" on a personal matter..such as you lost your woman , a job , your mind ..whatever.

Life is much more than guitars and amps..

Fett, you came here asking advice like many others (a missing golf club comes to mind) ..and friends will always step up and give you that needed and welcomed support..or just bust your balls..that's what friends are for..

What happened between between Pat and Chuck was RIDICULOUS IMO..it was blown WAY out of proportion, and beat to death to the point where emotions got the better of some good people , and bailed in haste decisions..hopefully not for good.

what happened was NOT necessesary by any means..and I'm sticking to that opinion. People should just state their case , be it pro or con and move on..not have a temper tantrum and bail, especially when the matter didn't even affect you..thats' what I don't get..nor care to. Oh Well..I can't control others actions , beliefs , opinions , attitudes but I can say my piece ..and YOU can take it or leave it.

I love this place , It truly rules. The reason why it rules is because we have this forum where a lot of people can share their views..which I find greatly entertaining , amusing , hilarious , or sometimes completely retarded...but that is what makes it "fun"..

You know Fett, if you're really serious, I can remove your access to this section. Then again, with the majority of your posts in this section, I'd have to deduct that from your total posts. That might bring you down to like 45 or something like that and then I'd have to revoke your classifieds access.
