Im finding myself getting addicted to gory pictures [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
I think its all the death metal and the fact that Carcass were the first death band I was into.
Anyone else have a similar thing? I think its kinda on a medical/biological level. Its like 'Wow, thats whats underneath my skin too' and, I dunno, but theres something weird about dead bodies, they're not right.

I wouldn't say I'm a huge gore fan, but I do LOVE to watch surgery shows!!! I find them fascinating.
And those "Real Life in the ER" kinda shows. It's amazing the kinds of things people get stuck in them. [img]/images/graemlins/what.gif[/img]

Well, considering the fact that I have disected a cadaver from start to finish, gory pictures don't really do anything for me. Until you run a saw from the occiput to the maxilla, splitting the cranium open like a melon, look at all the pictures you want. I lived it, baby!!

Porn on the other hand, does do it for me. I like the boobies.

I always check out banged up, and steak and cheese. I prfer the funny and weird stuff. Most of the gore doesn't bother me too much, but some of it is just nasty.

ummmm...let me put it this way...when I was "younger"..I seen all the "faces of death" , I was facinated by "gore"... yeah I like cannible Corpse , Grindcore , and carcass too and such ..I still do!!

BUT after pulling rotting dead babies out of dumpters , and finding numerous decomposing naked rape victims in vacant lots and fields..having to assist and convey these victims to the morgue for a IMMEDIATE autopsy with me present , because I was the investigating officer..included fingernail scraping and dissection..while in various rigor mortis and decomposed state ..All I can say these "victims" are somebody's wives , girlfreinds , mother's , sisters and ect..so that brought things into reality/perspective..to the point where I didn't get my fix of "gore" , but on the contrary ..I found myself upset and in tears at times..

I have too many of these scenarios that I will take to my grave ..those images are etched into my very being..I wished I never saw them..So now, I'm as cynical and calloused and you can get..

there isn't anything amusing about senseless Violence and seeing a decent human become a play toy at the hands of some sick fuck..

I have seen the worst things immaginable ..untill you have seen what I have seen..NONE of this would be "cool"..I assure you.

Horror movies are different..it's a movie...these are real people...like our families ...my family ..your family..

for exapmple I will share some "gore. .."a two year old that was sodomized to death , a seven year old girl that was abused, neglected and attacked for years , and died holding my hand , begging me not to leave her..I was the only one there with her to say goodbye ..a 18th month baby that didn't want to see his dad go to work and went out side to say goodbye just to be ran over by his work truck and wrapped / mangled around his axel..I can't count how many times I had to deal with that stuff.

I had to break horrible news to family members so many times ...terrible news and watch the looks of horror, disbelief..and shock. Some of thje vicyims were my son's age at that time as well...that hurts...and really hit home..I had to call home just to confirm he as OK!

This really ruined me ..gore for "fun" like silly pretend band lyrics or artwork is "amusing"..but real gore is tragic...

and because of it ..I have GREAT disadain and distrust for humans and ANY "theories " of any God who gives a fuck.

anyone who states they like Gore is a poser IMO..they are sheltered...they have real no clue ..until the tasted , touch and smelled "Death" and see how it affects others..

I am probly the only member here on this board that saw the amount of this crap..believe me ..there is NOTHING cool about it...I'm NOT proud to claim this..I'd rather wished I hadn't.

I'm with you on this one, because I saw it firsthand too. I became cold to it, as it appears in my post above. But I'll have a lot of these images etched in my brain as well. Everyone that was at the scene of a fatal car accident will remember it for the rest of their lives. Police, Fire, and EMS...these are the people that deal with this stuff on a regular basis, and some become really fucked up because of it. I turned myself off, because if I let it eat at me, I'd definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, be institutionalized.
