I guess the pics can be fascinating until you've seen it, like Bill says. But having seen it it's a different story. I saw more than I ever would have imagined possible on 9/11, so I'll also go with the boobies given a choice

Bill, that kinda stuff makes me want to cry. Just the thought of a child being hurt sucks in the biggest way. Whenever I see gory pictures of car accident victims or something, I am always thinking about who they are, if they have family, etc. Sad stuff.

It sucks even worse when you're a victim or the family of a victim.

Once you have children, you will never be interested in seeing people split open, destroyed and mangled. I never forget that even if this person is a piece of shit now, that was someone's KID once.

I think Bill put it very, very well. I would have cracked after a month. But I am not a bad motherfucker, I am a normal dude who just wants to get through life in one piece and have some fun along the way.

Yeah, I have managed to see some horrid shit in my life.

Stuff like seeing my ex bro in law with the top of his head taken off with a 12 gauge leaving a bright white bowl where his brains used to sit, and umpteen fatal car accidents I seem to have the nack of coming across with decapitations and all sorts of ill shit. One guy ripped out of his car by a truck (going the wrong way) leaving his lower body belted in the car still, next to his girlfriend (who was uninured, physically). The rest of his upper body was in pieces scattered down the highway, I ended up holding spotlights for the EMTs who were bagging his remains.. Unbelievable.

Had two guys breathe their last breath with me sitting with them at accidents... Tons more.

All shit I can't ever really get out of my head...

Sure does put perspective on how fragile we all are, and gave me a lot of respect for certain things....

Real gore is not for me.. I agree with Bill that gory lyrics and shit like that can be fun, but those Faces/Traces of Death and that kinda sick shit just makes me pissed off!

How can anyone enjoy watching people get tortured/murdered and whatnot? Beats me...

My son was at a friends playing with a meat cleaver, taking swings at a milk carton in the air, and sliced his knee in half. When i arrived he was sitting and his leg was bent.I could see all the way to the bottom.I was the scariest moment of my life.Shayne told me not to kill him.I told him that if he can't figure out what he did wrong, there was no way I was going to get it through to him. I never want to see the inside of anyone ever again. The smell is putrid.

I never saw what Bill or Cleve have seen, and I never have to either, seeing Shayne that way changed my morbid curiosity forever.

It's a funny thing guys. What this did to me. On one hand I detest and don't trust humans at all for what they are capable of..

and on the other hand I cry for them, when they are truly victimed ..especially children..I love children because they should NEVER be a victim for ant reason...but they are the biggest targets..because how frail , small , vunerable and naive they are..

I hate people ..well most people , until they confirm that they are good people..then I like them..I play it safe that way.

But I love Kids ..all kids..because they don't have the viciousness and capacity to harm others..and if they do..it is learned behavior..because their parents are human pollution..

I can't say I "pretend" to be anything ..I am what I am..and what I am is because of what I've seen and done.

I'm see people "differently" than most I think..I see them as all assholes until they proove me otherwise..and once they do that ..then they are golden..

I think sometimes it's hard for me to relate to others and visa versa for this very reason...it's not any of our fault..it's just the way it is.

Well , I'm sorry if I pissed on anyone's parade here, I know what this thread was intended for "fun"..but when this subjects comes up..I feel compelled to state my side.

Like I said before ..I was too fascinated by gore..hell I love "Gorey" music , old movies , I'm a big collector of old Warren Horror pulp mags such as Nightmare/ Weird Tales / Eerrie / Creepy / Vampirilla (she was hot) / Psycho / Tales from the tomb / Famous Monsters and so on..I hunted all the ones I had as a kid and bought them ALL..cost me a pretty penny.. well take care guys..

Re: Gory pictures (none inside)

Bill, I was a flight paramedic for 5 years at Jackson memorial in Miami. I have seen everything you have seen, but the difference is, that is ALL I saw. Gunshots, stabbings, knives in the head, arrows in the head, people carrying their own intestines, carrying a head, etc....You name it.

I became quite jaded after a while, obviously. I reached my
breaking point when my great grandmother passed away, and my first reaction was "well, she was old" and shrugged it off. Then I thought "wtf? I am supposed to be sad?"...Thats when I got out. 5 years on the ground and 5 doing nothing but trauma, and I had my fill.

It's the stupid ones that hang around too long that get fucked up. I am fine.

Re: Gory pictures (none inside)

I have seen my excised cancerous nut, that is gore enough for me.

I have only witnessed one death in my life. I was four years old and at my neighbors fourth birthday party. His mother was teaching him how to change his voice using a helium filled balloon. She left him with one to play with and as he was taking in the helium, he lost his grip on the balloon and it entered his windpipe. Of, course as he tried to take a breath the balloon filled with air and expanded in his throat. He was dead before the paramedics arrived.

Needless to say, my children have never had a balloon in their hands and never will, in my presence.

Bill, nice posts BTW. The kinder, gentler Antichrist.

All I have to say is that this fucking post has bummed me out beyond belief.

I used to deliver pizzas when I was in law school. A pizza was an all access pass to the trauma rooms at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. I saw shit that simply didn't even register in my brain when I was down there. Like doctors turning from some poor sucker they were trying to put back together and actually eating a fucking pizza.

I defended a second degree murder case a few years back. It broke my spirit and I swore I would never handle a criminal case ever again. Now all I do is go after scumbag corporations, like the pharma industry.

That should pick you up a bit. I was under the influence of some killer Jamaican, of course. It sure felt real.
