So based on preliminary reports you are ready to slaughter him yet you found it in your heart to believe Pete Townshend was innocent.

Well, Gary never said anything like " I went to the child porn site because I was curious" See how that makes it okay?

Those of you here who know me and my job, will know I have no sympathy for this piece of human fucking trash. Child predators are THE most manipulative, conniving, sick individuals on this planet.

Anyone know how the Pete Townshend thing ended? The news in the UK was very hush hush about it

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. Child molestors are vile and Glitter obviously has a problem.
As far as colorado goes the way the law is something like this, I'm writing from memory. 15 is legal provided the two parties consent and the older party is no more than 3 years senior or no more than 18 years old. Anything under 15 is illegal. Anyone over 17 years can do what they want provided they do it with other 17y/os and older. There was also a blurb about minors not being more than 4 years apart but I don't remember it clearly.

Yeah, i thought that was what you were refering to.When you are underage, the parents could persue rape charges since they are the gaurdians of said child.I think that our law here is to help curb that a bit.

I have an ex girlfriend who was a big time groupie back in the day.She nailed Gene Simmons when she was 15, motley crue sometime after that.Big Ed (David Lee Roth's security guy during the vh heyday) claims DLR asked him if he had a problem with underage girls running around backstage. Rock bands in the 20's will always have underage groupies after them. Just ask the guy from static X , hes going to be in prison for this very crime.

Sorry for not being specific enough, I did not mean to imply there is some kind of loophole here.

Gary Glitter may face death penalty
From: Press Association By Martha Linden in London
November 22, 2005

DISGRACED 1970s rock star Gary Glitter could face death by firing squad if convicted of having sex with a girl aged just 12, police in Vietnam have said.

Sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old regardless of whether there is consent is considered rape under Vietnamese law, with a maximum penalty of death before a firing squad.
The revelations come after two girls, aged 12 and 18 years, told the police they had sex with the former singer - real name Paul Francis Gadd - at his rented home in the southern resort of Vung Tau in Vietnam.

There were conflicting reports that the second girl had not yet turned 18.

Under Vietnamese law, sexual contact with a minor carries varying degrees of penalties, depending on the charge.

Obscene acts with a child can lead to up to 12 years in prison while child rape carries the maximum penalty of death before a firing squad.

The 61-year-old former singer was arrested on Saturday at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City as he tried to flee the country.
He left his rented home in Vung Tau a week ago amid allegations about his relationships with two teenage girls.

Glitter has been taken back to Vung Tau for further investigation by the police.

He has not been charged with any crime but remains in custody at a jail outside the coastal city, police said.

Vung Tau police said today they were continuing to investigate the case and will be questioning him further.

The case has been highly publicised in the state-controlled media, which had reported Glitter was seen in Vung Tau with several teenage girls, whom he invited to his home, since moving to the area in March.

OK, I think the fact that the girl 12yo might change some people's stance on this. That's just fucking gross.
