• old Minolta 35mm lens question

I gave my daughter my old Minolta 35mm from the early 80's.
I forgot the model no#. She would like to take up close pictures around the size of snalls.
What type of lens would I be looking for? macro lens?
It's a manual focus camera.
She will e-mail me the model no# today.
Thanks

How many MM's is the lens? That will tell her on the printing when you look into the lens. Then find these, http://cgi.ebay.com/CLOSE-UP-LENS-KIT-HO...1QQcmdZViewItem I am assuming it is a full-size SLR.

Ya gots to make sure of the MMs on the lens. That one says 50mm. Is that is what on yours? These lenses screw onto the "lens" so it is very important to know that diameter.

Just go to a good camera shop in SF and buy those close-up lens. They are great, They give you 1,2,3 and sometimes 4 ways to climb on top of the snail's shell.

Im pretty sure thats just like my old one, the thing that you use when getting a lens is its an MD mount, I'd look for a zoom/macro lens on ebay, heres one I just found

Yeah, ebay is great for older lenses for dirt cheap. I got all my old Konica lenses there for cheap.
