Haven't seen any real snow in almost 15 years. It did kinda "snow" in New Orleans last Christmas though...that was pretty neat.

If they plowed the roads it might help. When I lived in Denver they usually just let the snow get packed down and threw some dirt on them here and there.

you're totally correct snow removal is horrible here. people still need to slow the fuck down and pay more attention in a storm. you don't know how many people i've seen doing 60 and tailgating on that packed snow yaking on the phone, sloughing down a latte, and horfing down a big mac.

Oh I believe you. I recall some chick sliding into the rear end of my car at Mississippi and Chambers in Aurora. Totally clueless. Probably more than 90% don't have snow tires either.

It's starting to stick on the roads around here. By the time of the commute, in about 3 hours, it will be like a hockey game on the roads. This is not good. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Not good to hear that about Denver. My ex-wife moved there with my kids, and she has never driven on snow. I am very concerned...VERY.

I grew up with snow, but she has barely even seen the shit in her life...let alone driven on it.

I should've taken a picture of my car when I went out to it like an hour or so ago... If I didn't remember where I parked I wouldn't have been able to spot my car - It was completely covered so you couldn't really see the paint.

Seattle sucks for driving when there is snow because there are the 4 different camps of folk.. The people that are extremely paranoid so they drive 5 mph everywhere even if there isn't snow or anything on the ground, the people that have four wheel drive / snow tires / a SUV / a truck and think that they can drive 95 mph in the snow no problem, the people that just don't know how to drive in the snow, and lastly the people that know how to drive and exercise intelligence when driving.
