So I was helping a buddy of mine move today. We were in the basement going though mountains of stuff (literally- he's somewhat of a pack rat) when I noticed a guitar case sticking out from under a pile of stuff. I asked him who the guitar belonged to and he had no idea, nor did he have any idea if there was even anything in the case. So I pulled the case out and there was a pretty nice Korean-made Charvel acoustic in there! I was aware that Charvel at one point made acoustics but I'd never seen one. I asked him who it belonged to and he suspected it might be his wife's, though he'd never seen her play it, nor did he have any awareness of her playing guitar at all. I have no idea how old the guitar is, but the stings were ancient. Had nice abalone inlays, including the Charvel logo. Anyway, I told him to tell his wife that I was going to bring it home and spruce it up, and if she wanted me to make her an offer I'd be interested. He called her and she said she'd "permanantly loan" it to me. So I brought it home, restrung it, cleaned the fingerboard and gave it a quick polish. It actually plays extremely well, excellent action and a very comfortable neck. I really like it.
Anyway, here she is-
If anyone has any info on these guitars I'd love to hear it. I was pretty excited when I opened the case and saw the logo.
