Re: COB/Trivium/Amon Amarth
I was at the 12/3 show in Houston. Nice night out I must say. Talked to and got autographs from the guys in Trivium. They freakin rocked, and, they were better than COB that night IMO. Not that COB was bad, but Trivium just was locked in tight and balls to the wall. As for Amon Amarth..or whaterf...they played their asses off and were a good start to a great buzz. Did you get to the show?? And how did it go??The Buzzard does not fear

Re: COB/Trivium/Amon Amarth
The show rocked. Amon Amarth killed. The singer had the crowd in his palm for their entire set. He was drinking from a horn that he had holstered to his hip. Trivium was good, I'm not too familiar with their material. COB freakin' tore the place down! I was hanging out at the bar after the show watching the crew take down the set. I remembered Alexi going to a cabinet between each song and taking a drink of whatever he was having and leaning down to take a look at the top as he sat his drink down. I thought to myself, his set list must be on the top of that cabinet. Off to the stage I went. I asked his tech if the set list was still available. Sure enoungh it was. He gave it to me and when I got to where there was some light, it had it cup ring on it. I'll scan and post the set list this weekend. It was great seeing these bands in such a small club. Re: COB/Trivium/Amon Amarth
Did Alexi do a lot of talking to his keyboard player?
They seemed to talk a lot during some pretty fast/busy parts. After a while, I began to wonder if it was just showing off..?? Amon Amarth worked the crowd good at the show I saw also. I kinda found the horn thing to be a bit hokey myself. All in all though, definitely worth the price of admission..and then some. The Buzzard does not fear

Yes, he did spend a lot of time with the keyboard player. I guess they are the virtuoso's of the band.

I'm seeing them this Wednsday here in NY! I can't wait for this tour, I love all the bands on the bill. Gonna get the buds, drink some beers, burn it down then go to the show.I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine. - Ayn Rand

That's cool that you scored the set list. I have a whole pile of stuff like that from over the years.
Most of it I asked for

I'd love to see Amon Amarth but I don't think I can put up with the COB Trivium crowd for long enough to make it worth while.

Wow Ron. I guess this is where you and I take separate trains. Is it the crowd or the bands. I've never let anyone dictate what I see.The Buzzard does not fear

Re: COB/Trivium/Amon Amarth
Well, not so much the crowds, but the bands themselves. It's a moot point anyway, since the tour is over. I hope AA can get on another US tour soon. We'll see who the headliner is, eh?
