Did it actually have a picture of the guitar? I'm just wondering if maybe they are doing a special run of cheapo bolt-on slab body Zakk guitars.

I thought about that too. Or maybe they will all have a big #2 on the back of the headstock. But, for $160 with the gift certificate and statue to boot its worth the risk.

There was a picture of each type (paint job) of guitar. But it was just the standard front view. So it is difficult to tell if the guitars are any different that what they sell now. It did read "$799 value" and that is the advertised price at Musicians Friend. Time will tell eh?

The site now has a "Thank you" note to those who participated in the promotion. A good sign!

I paid for mine with a check (which hasn't been sent yet) heard you have 2 weeks to get payment to them. I figured if I did this, then I could drag my heels a few days and let things settle out - if it ended up being a scam, they have my shipping address and email. The funniest thing is, what if this was just another purchase. I mean like, if someone posted "Hey guys, I just bought an Epiphone". Then you all would be laughing and pointing asking "Why didn't you put the money toward a Jackson"? I hope all of you get your moneys worth and are happy with your purchase. Those buying just to flip it, may be in for a surprise though.

There are many guitars that I would buy for $161 shipped that I wouldn't for $800ish. Regarding flipping it, why worry what someone else does with something they purchased? I got the camo bullseye because of the maple board.

Pete, I don't care what they do with it. I just don't think they will realize the margin they may be thinking of, that's all. And I'm with you on the guitar for the cheap$$ too. I'm just sayin. If the members went on a random Epiphone buying binge, it would prompt some crazy replies.

Wow, I was so stupid. I shoulda got a camo too. I just checked ebay and they go for a lot more than the other two. I guess its the maple board. I didnt even think of that when ordering. I didnt even bother to look at the pic because Im not too wild about camo finishes. Stupid!!

I doubt that if when we get them, any of us would have a problem flipping them for a profit. No, I would not normally buy an Epiphone, or a Gibson, or a Fender or (name something besides Jackson here)...but for 160 bucks, I'd be stupid not too. And guess what, after it gets here, I just may find that I LIKE it. My original plan is to keep it, but was safe in knowing that if I don't like it I can sell it and not LOSE money on it. It's not much of a risk this way. I have bought guitars before, ended up hating them, sold them for LESS that what I had into them. That won't happen here.
