    You know whats bullshit

    My dads been in this country for 25 years, and got his U.S citizenship.

    Now the fucking government is asking questions to my dad on why he should handle hazardous material. He has to write a fucking letter to them. (hes a truck driver) what the fuck is this bullshit? My dads been here long enough and now they ask about this? What.... is everyone not born in the U.S a terrorist now? What kind of crock of shit is that.

    I'll tell you: It stems from the fact that back during the Revolutionary War, we had a few people that were loyal to Britain, and they betrayed us.

    Then in WW1, we had people that were BORN in this country who were loyal to Germany, and they betrayed us.

    Then in WWII, we had people BORN in this country who were loyal to Germany and Japan, and they betrayed us.

    In the Cold War, we had people that were BORN here who were loyal to Russia and China, and they betrayed us.

    On September 11th 2001, we had people that lived here and enjoyed the freedoms that America is known for, and they boarded 4 airplanes. They killed people for no legitimate reason. Just to feed their maniacal hate machines.

    So yeah, America finally learned the lesson: EVERYBODY'S A SUSPECT!

        I thought it was bullshit when I got pulled over at a border patrol checkpoint on a deserted highway in a couple of hundred miles north of the border in NM. Fucker hassled me for 20 minutes before "asking" if he could check my trunk, then my luggage, etc. Made a bunch of smart-ass comments all the while until I said, "Yeah, I may be a college boy but at least I'm not stuck in the middle of this godforsaken state sniffing college boy's dirty underwear for a living."

        I may have a slight problem with authority.

          Actually, they do question everybody now.

          I'm the compliance/training manager for a nationwide environmental company. One aspect of my job is the compliance and qualification for all of our CMV drivers. I even still have my CDL with all the endorsements (including hazmat).

          When my license comes up for renewal in Texas, I will have to go through a Federal background check.

          With the new rules in place, the industry is likely to lose 20% of the drivers over the next 5-7 years as licenses come up for renewal. As drivers become harder to find, wages should go up as there will be more jobs than there are drivers. This of course will be passed on to our customers, who will pass the cost on to their customers...

          It's not just your dad. One of our best employees is black and has a rather "middle eastern" sounding name. We have a hard time just getting him through the gates at some of our customers. You should see the hard time he gets at some of the weigh stations.
