April Wine

Yes, he loves Foreigner! Hates Journey though.
I'm getting him pretty much everything from Pro-Fusion's list (thanks, bro!).
But which April Wine and which Cult album should I get him?
What are your favs?
I'm gonna see if I can steer him towards KISS a bit more.
Picked up the first Faster Pussycat too. And some REO and Sweet. I know he loves Bon Jovi's Slippery When Wet (he has the TAPE. heh.) so I got him the CD. That tape is about ready to die.

Re: April Wine

"Blue Oyster Cult Live" Me and my future wife listened to "I Ain't Got You" and fell in love. My son and I would lie in bed, he was 5/6, and listen to Tom Petty. He would sing the songs. I so miss that. That's the songs, you perverts. I went to more Steve Miller concerts that all rest. I saw ZZTop when they could only fill a 1500 seat venue. That was 197-. What all youngsters are missing are the roots. Those are the '70/80's roots. Now go plant your own. And I will wait for a new branch, let alone a new root. "It's all been done before!!!!", he sayeth. Re: April Wine

If he likes stuff he can sing along with, DLR's Crazy From The Heat - lots of old rock-tpye songs with a slightly Big Band flair, and not too heavy on the shredding - That's Life, California Girls, Tobacco Road, etc.

Cult - Whatever that one with She Sells Santuary and Fire Woman, but only if he's a Doors fan, cuz that's who they remind me of.

Aerosmith: Greatest Hits (the red cover with all the old songs like Dream On, not the blue cover with the recent stuff)
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.

I have narrowed it down to "BOC" and Areosmith. There was nothing better, "Dream On"
