That's a misconception, I think.

That would unleash absolute chaos upon the world, and that's exactly what he wants. For several reasons, one (not too believable, but interesting one) is that he believes in the return of the 12th imam from the 10 century (Mahmoud is part of an extremely extremistic cult), this imam would only return in the event of global chaos, to help Islam prevail.

But as I said, I believe in all fairness, terrorism would gain massively as a result from such a strike and not the opposite as you're saying.

Hmmm, this is a very interesting debate. I am going to stay out and just enjoy everyone's opinion. Myself, I am a little biased having visited Israel 3 times and having friends in the country.

I will say one thing though. The Israeli pilots are the BEST in the world.

<font color="yellow">They're very, very good...no doubt about it....but, you fail to realize that unlike the US and the current 2nd place winner, Russia......Israel has not had the opportunity to really make aerial flight/combat/tactics to the degree that the US and Russia have.

Israeli pilots are trained by US pilots of the different branches....

The US is definitively the 1st air power in the world....we dominate the skies both in technology and in experience/tactics/warfighting....bar none. Russia is a close second (believe it). </font>

In the 80's, the Israeli pilots regularly outflew and defeated U.S. pilots in multi-country war games.

The U.S. and Russia are #1 and #2 based on sheer volume. Squadron to squadron, my money is on the Israelis...when equipment is on equal terms.

Not trying to downplay any type of exchange between them, but it would hardly be much of an exchange. Iran is likely to only produce a few low yield bombs and not much of a means to deliver them. Israel is believed to have somewhere between 200 and as many as 400, much of which are high yield. Isreal could basicly turn Iran into a glass parking lot.

There is not one truly civilized country in the middle east. They are all a bunch of suicidal baby killing motherfuckers. Even the ones who portray an outward appearance of civility, are one step away from strapping on some plastic explosives and becoming a martyr in the name of their crazy-ass religions. From what I know Iran and the US have been secretly getting closer and closer, and for some people over there and in the US, its made them very nervous. There will be no nukes flying here, it is more likely that Americans will be invited into Iran to help build them a nuclear facility, and everyone will get along fine, but yes they will spew out crap for the media to goble up and have pretend fights just so threads like these can start and papers can be sold...............

Wow, just wow. Good thing you're a harmlessly tucked away in Canada.

I've spent time in the middle east. I hated it and thought everything about it sucked. However, the people were not all "one step away from strapping on some plastic explosives and becoming a martyr". Far from it.

As for crazy-ass religions, no need to travel to the middle east - just hop in your car and come visit the United States - we've got some real winners.
