And don't get me started on the others...
You know who they are... they wake your ass up every Saturday morning banging on your door.
I swear I'm gonna run their bicycles over the next time they leave them in front of my house.

We have a Christian fundamentalist in the White House. He has done plenty, and his crusades have sent many to their deaths.

        Enough said.

          [ QUOTE ]
And there is a huge qualitative difference between random street or domestic violence and state-sanctioned terrorism. We're all human and imperfect, but I refuse to engage in the sort of self-loathing and moral relativism that says that we in the West must be every bit as bad as the Islamist militants--because we're not. Period.

          [/ QUOTE ]

People die from senseless violence around the world everyday. Why is one way qualitatively less evil?

Also note that plenty of violence in the non-Muslim world is quite organized - does that not count?

Never fails, as much as I love all you guys, you always seem to go off topic on such and similar threads and begin bashing the diveristy of faith in this country and other nations alike. Give it a rest man, drop the chalupa(taco bell dog commerical), let it go and move on. One can read approx the first dozen posts and then after that the religion/faith bashing begins. Its so old. Your like a bunch kids with this at times. Its really old gang. Your like on a witchhunt waiting for an opportunity to bash religion/faith or get a rise out of someone or persecute someone faith/beliefs.
Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

I don't care what you believe in, you have the right to do so. If religion gives you solace, great. Just don't run my fucking country based on what you think GOD tells you to do. And don't blow up innocent people because you think it will guarantee your entrance into some fictional afterlife.

I see much good done in the name of religion and faith. Unfortunately, I see much more blood spilled in its name than anything else.

I believe in myself, that is enough for me.

Re: Bets on Iran by Feb 1st

It is important to point out that the previous administration neglected to address terrorism and even turned down the opportunity to have Osama Bin Laden handed over to us. There were also many terrorist attacks on the US during the previous administration including the first World Trade Center attack, the USS cole, and more than one embassy attack.

Israel will take out Iran's nukes. The U.S. will publically denounce it, but we will have secretly given them a direct flight path and possibly even a base of operations.

When Israel took out Iraq's nukes, the U.S. denounced it. But read below what happened after Desert Storm.

                        [ QUOTE ]
The destruction of the reactor helped numerous countries besides Israel. Had Iraq obtained nuclear weapons they might have been able to achieve regional hegemony. [19] Ten years after the attack, the American government noted this. In June 1991, during a visit to Israel after the Gulf War, then-Defense Secretary Richard Cheney gave Major General David Ivry, then commander of the Israeli Air Force, a satellite photograph of the destroyed reactor. On the photograph, Cheney wrote, “For General David Ivri, with thanks and appreciation for the outstanding job he did on the Iraqi Nuclear Program in 1981, which made our job much easier in Desert Storm.” [20]

OK, fair enough. I was inferring that you are a "person of faith"...because generally, non-religious people don't use the word "faith" in a religious context. That is generally reserved for believers.

I am not attacking anyone's belief in god or whatever...just doesn't do it for me.
