I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see isreal stomp their asses. I got to spend some time in isreal during the gulf war. i really enjoyed the people but they are not someone to fuck with. The top aces in the world are all isreali fighter pilots. Iran is totally asking for it and i'd love to see isreal kick their asses 3 ways to sunday.

Oh, and yeah, we have maniacal christians up here in the great white north too, but for the most part they are pretty harmless. Maybe because it's more difficult for them to get their hands on any C4.

Tim, don't think my point of view comes from being isolated from the world in my nice little southern Ontario town. I was born in England, have visited many countries, lived in Los Angeles for a while, and I even read the world news section of the paper a couple of times a week believe it or not. My father has worked in Saudi Arabia, India, and about a dozen other countries around the world. I even have customers in Dubai, that are very nice people (not much common sense though). My point is, The ratio of armed lunatics to sane, rational people in the middle eastern countries is a lot higher than it is in western countries. Sure, maybe sanity is relative, but in my little world, shooting people and blowing things up is not cool.

Pragmatically if not just humanely, using enough nukes to turn the whole Middle East - an area larger than the US - into glowing glass would likely kill the whole planet from the fallout.

I am for taking out the nuclear plants, but glassing the entire ME is madness.

Clearly you have not spent any significant amount of time in the United States. The rest of the world tends to not care too much since we're shooting ourselves in the foot and no oil is harmed in the process.
