My poor Car, Totaled last night........

Man, it has not been a good week for my car. I have been leaving my car with my girlfriend to get to work while I have been in Alabama. I catch a ride with one of the guys I work with up there.

Well, last Friday my girlfriend and her friend have the car and I am on my way home from Alabama. Her friend opens the door on a busy street and gets doorprized. I show up and I am able to kick the door closed and at least use the car. My GF gets the ticket, even though she didn't open the door and the Suburban that hit her was speeding and in a hurry.

Well, last night I am driving down River Road in New Orleans, which is very narrow and has houses on one side, when a blue Volvo appears in front of me from out of nowhere. No time to stop, or really react...I barely got my foot onto the brake before I T-Boned the Volvo. Both airbags out, the whole deal. I think the end has come for my poor Vickie. I had her for over a year and she was a great car. Hopefully I will get enough cash out of the insurance that I won't have to sell every piece of gear I own to get a car.

RIP Crown Vic.

I'll have to get an after pic today. The car is still over in New Orleans. We have to rent a car and go over there and see if I can limp it to her house, which is about 10 blocks from the accident scene. It wouldn't run last night, I doubnt it will today. It is safe where it is parked, but I want it at her house so I can remove my stereo and stuff before the insurance company hauls it off.

Man, sorry to hear this Mike! I'm just glad no one got hurt, but shit! That's depressing!

Again though, glad you're all safe, and you might want to pull that stereo quickly, they might come out this week while you're in Alabama. I'm sure that wasn't your weekend relaxation plan, but that kinda thing is get it or lose it.
