its not images, they could be as little as 1 x 1 pixel infected file images posted on a thread to infect people.

I have turned of images, have run a FULL system scan with updated AVG (found nothing!) and will now continue to improve my protection.

Once they patch it, if you wish to re-enable shimgvw.dll, you can do so by START - RUN - "regsvr32 shimgvw.dll"
