    Re: Thin Lizzy

Great band and a sad story.
I saw the behind the music (I think it was) special on VH1 and they were interviweing Phil's Mother and she talked about Phil growing up and all the shit that went on.
He was F*%$^d up mentally but he was a brilliant person.
    Sad, just sad.

      Re: Thin Lizzy

I think I'm the only person in the world that absolutely cannot stand them. They have talent, but I don't like any of their songs. I don't like Lynott's voice. Good guitar solos but that's about it for me.

When the last time they aired that? I'd like to see it.

          Don,
A year, maybe year and a half ago.
It really concentrated on the band and Phil struggles. As far as the guitar players it just mentioned them as they came and went. But Gary M. was interviewed, Scott G. and Snowy W. where there if I recall.

                Re: Thin Lizzy

yeah I have on-again/off-again liked TL since back in the day. I got Jailbreak as a kid when it came out, and have in these later years developed more of a full appreciation for their stuff, lots of which I didn't hear until more recently.

great band and great twin guitar attack!
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

                  Re: Thin Lizzy

Scotty G. had some serious stage presence.
the rotating guitar lineup in that band is fukkin' the stuff in my book.
Not helping the situation since 1965!
