I got this email today. I have the 'Guitars From Hell' CD bootleg, and it has some of Vinnie's best work on it if you haven't heard it before. It will be interesting to hear the quality that they get out of this, but no matter what, if you've never heard it before, I would certainly check it out....
Unreleased Vinnie Vincent CD to air on radio show
------------------------------------------------------------
The Classic Metal Show will be airing the ‘lost’ Vinnie Vincent album Guitars From Hell that he recorded circa 1991 but then never saw the light of day. Prior, Vinnie had released two albums with his band Vinnie Vincent Invasion (the 1986 selftitled debut album, and 1988’s All Systems Go). Once the band was dropped by Chrysalis Records, half the band went on to form Slaughter while Vinnie recorded demos with some other musicians around ’89-90. A year later he worked on his Guitars From Hell project with singer Robert Fleischman, but the album never saw the light of day. (On a side note, we borrowed Vinnie's album title as the headline for our review of KISS' 1992 album Revenge in the second issue of KISS Kollector magazine - since we thought that amazing KISS album sounded as if it was recorded with "guitars from hell" indeed.)
As a great treat for Vinnie Vincent and KISS fans, The Classic Metal Show, has just announced that they will be playing Vinnie’s never released album this week! The show is to air Saturday, January 7 during a special "Unreleased" Edition Of The Classic Metal Show. On the same show will be an unreleased album by Vain, titled All Those Strangers. The full report from The Classic Metal Show reads as follows: "This week on your Classic Metal show: Hot on the heels of a killer show hosted by our friend Don Dokken (thanks again, Don!), Neeley and Chris return to the show with an episode featuring two never-released albums. First off, Chris' favorite band Vain had a killer followup to their No Respect album called All Those Strangers. Unfortunately, their record label sucked ass and decided not to release it. It's been a long time favorite for fans in the underground, but now we're bringing it above ground to share with you guys in a new music listening party. To go with that, ex-KISS guitarist Vinnie Vincent and his Invasion had a 3rd album that never saw the light of day as well. It was called Guitars From Hell (at least that's the bootleg title), and we've got it as well. We'll be sharing it with you guys as well."
