I havent been able to. Downloaded MIRC. It shows I am in the room, but, no one else is there....just wonderin' [img]/images/graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img] -Lou

I haven't been able to get in via the java applet for a couple of months. A quick message flashes "error connecting to backpack..." I think it might have to do with my firewall settings or something since the problem started around the time I got a new router. I downloaded Icechat, but haven't been able to make that work & just don't have the time to fuck with it.

Thanks, but still getting an "unable to connect" message. I think I must need to configure the firewall to allow irc somehow. I know jack about firewalls or if that's even what the problem is.

When it's not working for you guys, what are the symptoms? Do you get beyond the page where it attempts to connect? I just stay stuck there & it keeps trying & failing to connect to the server for whatever reason. I'm just trying to figure out if I have a specific configuration problem on my end or if it's the same for everybody.

i'm using MIRC and I'm in right now.

If you try MIRC, the server you want to connect to is irc.webmaster.com - the default ports and such are right. then pick #jcf_online for the room to join.
