Just heard this: A couple found a packpack on the side of the road. They turned it in to the sheriff. After two years a judge said they could keep it. What was in the bag? OVER $500,000

Re: Finder\'s Keepers
Yeah. Now they gots to pay taxes on it. The sheriff wanted to keep it as "drug money". Where did he ever get the idea it was drug money? I am a true ass set to this board.

These yahoos live in Oregon. Must be "Liberals". It was the right thing to do. What's worse is the bad guys know where their money is. I am a true ass set to this board.

Re: Finder\'s Keepers
If for some strange ungodly reason you do find that kind of money, you probably would want to turn it in. First off, 500K is not really going to support you for the rest of your life, so a B-line to Mexico would mean a B-line back in 5 years after you blow all your money in Cancun. Second, odds are anyone who had that much money in a back pack was selling drugs and would have no intention of trying to claim it. Third, you would now have a legitimate claim to the money and wouldn't be trying to explain to the IRS how your $35K a year job got you over $200K worth of stuff in 5 years.
