Re: Got a new 2006 GT Mustang....

Yeah, for now, I would only trust the big names with lotsa R&D Moneys (Steeda, Roush etc) for anything being flashed on that ECM.

Lotsa stuff for the 4.6 I know, but that ECM control for the new body style with no throttle cable is REALLY different and supposed to be touchy bedcause of byuilt in safeties... Not something you want to whack out when the throttle is totally electronic and computer controlled, hehe...

Great score. I am really eager to see the new GT500.

I have owned 6 Mustangs, all Fox Bodies, 3 of which were SVOs as well as an 11 second Fairmont wagon, a 12 second LTD-LX, a TurboCoupe and three Merkurs. Yeah, I am kinda into Fords...especially forced induction versions.

Here is the new "Ford" I will be getting at the end of the month.

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.

Wow, that is a cool kit. Getting that programmer Injectors and the fuel pump for that price is pretty good really.

They have made some seriously product advances since I read up on the new stangs. THIS is really good to hear. I was hoping it was just a matter of time. I was bummed about the bolt on power adder situation reading those articles considering how cool these acars looked.

No, not a crate motor, I built it myself.

Bored 302 to 306, balanced & blueprinted roller motor, Forged 10.5:1 w/aluminum Rods, Edlebrock heads, ported and flowed, port matched to a ported and flowed GT40 lower intake w/GT40 upper, w/a Competition Custom built to flow specs .548 lift Nitrous Grind roller cam, 7:1 Roller rocker, 65mm TB, 75mm MAF, Cold air intake, 150hp Nitrous. Four core brass radiator/Edlebrock Victor water pump 130 amp alternator upgrade. Blah blah blah.

Runs on 93oct w/10degreees advance around 400hp or so on Motor.

Car has a 4R70 Digitally controlled Auto Transmission with a 3000 stall Precision stallion converter. The CPU is windows programmably shifted for bracketing or can be fun shifted via the cruise buttons on the steering wheel.

                        Lotsa fun...

Ron, I had a 90 LX 5.0 5 speed in titanium with the rare all-black GT interior (tweed seats rather than the crappy velour). Mine was mint, and I don't mean just good condition, it seriously looked like it had just driven off the lot. You could eat off the engine, and the carpet was still dark black and smelled new. Not a single spot of rust anywhere. I sold it a couple of years ago to a guy in Iowa. Christ almighty I miss that car. It was a special one. Since you had one, you must be aware that some of them were "special". I have driven tons of 5.0s, some stock, some modded, and mine had more balls stock than a lot of the modded ones I drove. I mean, this thing would really stand up when you put your foot on the floor.

Anyway, here's a pic. I photoshopped it orange, and can't find the original right now.
