Did any of you see "Hostel" yet?

I went alone yesterday while out of town...Had no idea what the movie was about, the premise behind it, actors, nothing...I had seen a tiny ad on TV and I liked "Cabin Fever" (who was written and shot by the same guy, Eli Roth) and decided to see it

Holy Crap! Totally depraved movie. It was a lot better than some of the other turds floating around out there...It was just crazy!

I would recommend the film if you like shock-value and creepy situations (It was one of those movies where you spent a lot of time squirming because you knew something horrible was about to happen)

I thought it kicked ass. I love dark movies. This is one dvd I'll definitely pick up when it comes out.

Re: Hostel-The Movie

I thought it was somewhat overrated. I've heard reviews like "Scariest movie ever". Nah, not quite. Pretty graphical though. VERY graphical. Finally a movie that goes that step further, where you find yourself thinking "wouldn't it be cool if they did even more brutal shit?" and usually the video pusses out but this movie went at least that far.

Shock: 9
Gore: 10
Storyline: 6
Predictablility: 10 (as in very unpredictable)

Overall a pretty good show. Not as cool as I'd hoped, but not bad at all. I guess The Exorcist ruined ever being scared again for me. Now THAT was a kick-ass movie. I think I might go watch it again, right now at 1:30 in the morning...

For me, it's pretty much like Eurotrip becoming a porno then switching to the sickest parts of Saw. The plot was nonexistent. The gore/disturbingness was top notch, though. Oh yea...the chicks are hot.

I'll see it when it comes to video...I'm very curious about this film because of all the hype..

the most "disturbing" movie I have ever seen is called "Begotten"...it's like a bad, black and white acid trip or disjointed nightmare..it's just fuggin' nasty!!!

I've seen and smelled ALOT of "real" nasty stuff and it takes alot to stimulate me..but Begotten kinda did!

I watched the Devil's Rejects with the wife last night..the only thing that saved that movie besides Moon Zombie's ass was William Forsythe..he was pretty cool in that.
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.
