Its been done before many times. A seller establishes a good record of account and then one day just falls off the face of the earth. There was one guy many years ago who actually had a physical store who sold collectibles on eBay, items like netsuke figures and collectibles that were worth hundreds to buyers. He closed up shop and took everyones money within a matter of a week and left town.
He made off with thousands.

By his feedback...this guy looks as tho he just lost it in some way tho.
