            If it's 100% elastic, then kinetic energy and momentum are conserved, so they will each go backwards at the same velocity. That is assuming you're neglecting air resistance and gravity. If not then it depends on the direction from which the balls collide. But in real world applications, no collision is ever 100% elastic, except for collision of gas molecules...or magnets.

                  Actually I was wrong, they would have the same speed as before, but in the opposite direction.

                  Sorry :/ I wasn't thinking straight. (I asked a physics guy about it today)
