bought the aluminum diamond plate on ebay &
with a jigsaw & cut & finished a set & two
backup sets for about $15.00, it was fairly
easy to do. Also installed a EMG 81/85 set
& this SG grinds with the best of them.
Here's a couple of pics of the rear
cavity pickguard. Travers, like Iommi
are my inspirations.

Very cool! I've got EMGs in my LP... 85 in the bridge and a chrome 25th anniversary 81 in the neck.

I'd love to get a Custom, too. Mine's only a Studio, but it's one of those "Vintage Mahogany" Musician's Friend models. I really dig it with the mahogany top instead of the typical maple!

have alot of bottom end being all mahogany
like the SG's, great looking studio
