      Even more eye opening:::

      $736,000 gross sales

      - at least $20.00 per guitar to ship ($20.00 x 4000 = $80,000)

      - at least $150.00 per guitar actual cost ( $150.00 x 4000 = $600,000)

      - cost of free items puchased with coupons including diecasts ($40.00 x 4000 = $160,000 )

      - administration costs, operating expenses, endorsement fee's... etc.. (I won't even put a dollar amount on it) Lets call it a write off!

      $736,000 - $80,000- $600,000- $160,000 = a net loss of $104,000

It sounds like a sound business deal to me for a start up web based motorcycle builder who also imports MP4 players, laptops and coffee mugs from Tawain or Korea.
      Good luck guys.

Come on now. You gotta have faith. Being from CT you must be a Red Sox fan right? Well with faith like that this isn't much of a stretch is it??

yes it would be anet loss if they really did give everyone there guitars.. but only 9 people have gotten guitars,, so right now they have a major net gain of money..... and that money collects interest the longer they have it.....

i do hope all get there guitars, only thing how long are you all planing on waiting for yoru guitars before you all stop payment on your CC etc.. and look into filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. the longer they make everyone wait the less chance it has to hold up in court...

            • I think Chad mentioned on the ZW board that anyone who wants their money back won't be given a problem, they'll just refund their money

              • 357 provided a number of Zakk Wylde chopper diecasts to Epiphone for their Zakk guitar promotion last fall. In return, Epiphone is providing a (smaller) number of guitars to 357 for their promotions. It's impossible to figure out how much money, if any at all, is changing hands without knowing 357's actual production & shipping costs for the diecasts, Epiphone's actual production & shipping costs for their guitars, and whatever the the deal was that the two parties worked out. Since Zakk & his manager supposedly have an interest in 357, it could be some kind of mechandise-only barter brokered as a part of Zakk's recently renegotiated Epi endorsement contract.

                • Yeah, a couple of guys on the slickdeals forum have gotten speedy refunds on their credit cards already. If it was a total scam, I dont think they would do that. But if in 3 weeks people havent gotten their guitars theres gonna be hell to pay for sure. No one will believe another thing that Chad says.

                  • I've waited longer for a guitar from Jackson that I paid well over a $100 for. It's legit. Crow Sandwhiches standing by.

I... for one.. am loving this thread.
I also got roped into Amway for around 2 months before I even realized what it was. They didn't even call it Amway.
I ran.... unfortunately I got taken for a fair amount of money first.

This is a scam. IMHO, Chad is an internet con artist.

                          • Well, Chad has posted that 500 guitars are due in today. No word on the 100 that was supposed to arrive last Friday.

                            • You bought a diecast bike and/or an MP4 player, and paid extra shipping for a FREE guitar. The most they would be obligated to refund you is the shipping cost of the guitar, as long as they ship out the items in your original order.

That said, no MP4 player here yet, no Camo bike, no guitars, and no emails.

And yes, Gibson is in Nashville - the whole factory and Epi warehouse/staging area. 357 is in Nashville, Gibson is in Nashville, Nashville sucks. Whoever thought it was a good idea to build the whole place in a series of hills shoulda been shot for the idea.
