• Re: 357 is at it again!!!

My diecast came in last night. It was at my door this morning when I left for work. I didn't have a chance to open it but I presume it is the diecast.....either that or a box of the bird flu.

I still haven't gotten my bullseye from the first order. The sawblade (2nd order) came last week.

I got the Sawblade bike from the second go-round (MP4 player package) but no MP4 player, no "claim check" for the Sawblade guitar, and no bike from the first go-round (bike and Camo Epi).

I did get the $100 gift certificate and the "claim check" for the Camo Epi.

I ordered the Camo bullseye in Dec. I got the certs saying I will get the diecast in the end of Jan ( )and that the guitar will ship in the end of March along with the $100 gift cert)

I didn't get SHIT yet!I've sent a bunch of emails with no response.

I have mixed feelings on the whole deal. I used to feel like it was legit. I hope it is.

So far from them I got 1 sawblade diecast form one of 2 orders from december and both of those gift certificates. I used them for the mp4 offer and havent gotten anything from that. So, for my $320 so far I have a cheesy diecast motorcycle. I guess all will be forgiven when my 3 guitars show up.

Wulfie, I'm pretty sure you don't need to send anything back in.

Oh yeah! This was just posted on the zakk forum, a dude got his Bullseye guitar today from the first promo in December!

This is for real, no joke. The dude lives very close to 357 in TN, which is why he is probably the first to get his guitar.

I don't believe it. How convenient that the dude lives very close to 357's new location. Do you honestly think that 357 is getting in hundreds of Epi guitars and then shipping them back out? Not a chance. Those Epi guitars will drop ship direct from wherever the warehouse is.
Another thing... out of the hundreds and hundreds (maybe thousands) of Epi guitars ordered we have only heard of 1 guy getting one and that guy is local to 357 Customs?
I say thats bullshit. Bigtime.

Ok, lets say it;s not bullshit and this whole thing is legit. Why haven't I received my camo die cast like promised by the end of Jan and why am I getting absolutely no response from their "help" email? I'll call when I get my voice back, but man this is bummin me out.

I know. UPS pretty much guarantee's next day delivery within a 75 mile radius of point of shipment. Most of the time its a next day delivery within the same UPS zone.
With that said.. how come only one dude has received a guitar. They must have stacks of orders to fill. Thousands most likely but only one guy got a guitar.
There are 2 possible reasons why.
1. Its bullshit.
2. They only shipped one guitar so far.

Keep in mind.. this is an web promotion. Word of mouth was spread by message boards. I would think that 95% of everybody that actually receives a guitar will post something about it online the day they get it. So far... 1 guy who is in the same town as 357 Customs. YEA RIGHT!!!

Plus, I just went to the 357 site and if I wanted to buy a camo bullseye diecast, it's in stock and ready to ship. If thats the case, why haven't I or anyone else received their camo diecast? I mean, isnt' it all bullshit or what? I'd ask this Chad myself if I had a way to get a hold of him.

I'll tell you why Jim. Its because 357 Customs is probably using a fullfillment center. They may be "factory stock" or "warehouse stock" but the factory or warehouse could be anywhere. Many companies that do promotions use fullfillment centers to handle their warehousing and shipping. Its a really easy way to VANISH into thin air when you stop filling orders or place the blame on the "shipper" when the customers start expediting orders they will probably never receive.
Try this.. one of you believers..
Try to expedite an order... ain't gonna happen
Try to talk to somebody in customer service... ain't gonna happen
Try to place an order and have it shipped out next day air... not gonna happen
These are all bad signs. Real bad.

I don't think this tidbit of info. has been posted here before, so I'll post it to set your minds at ease.
I read from Chad that 357 could have spent $200,000 on an ad in Rolling Stone or do the promos with the Epi's. They chose to spend their ad money on Zakk's fans instead of printing an ad in Rolling Stone.
Sambencuda, does that make you feel any better?
Oh yeah, look at the mp4 players. They also say "in stock" but also say they ship in 6-8 weeks. Nothing makes sense with this company, but it's no scam.

So your saying it's a case of them practicing bad business vs a scam? If I end up getting the guitar, then yeah. It will have hae been worth the BS.

As far as the Rolling Stone Thing, I can see them making that decision. I can also see it making better advertising for them in the long run.

I really don't think this is a scam, but that soesn't ease my mind. I'm still weary as to wether or not I'll get anything.

Also, I just used my Gift Cert. I ordered a Jackset the came to just under $100.

I followed the directions that they gave me, select check as a method of payment. Then I was supposed to enter my cert number in the comments section. THERE WAS NO COMMENTS SECTION. I entered it in the Gift cert number field (they never mentioned this field.)

I doubt I'll see that Jacket. I don't think it;s a scam. It's just a bad gift certificate setup.

We'll see. I'll remain cautiously optimistic.
