OK, people. Thanks for being so patient. Here's the deal.

We are waiting on delivery of the Epiphone guitars for you guys FROM Epiphone because the guitars that Epiphone has in stock do NOT have working pickups!

That's correct...for whatever reason (and people....please don't send me 100 emails and posts here asking why the pickups don't work...I'm not working for Epiphone) the pickups don't work. So rather than send you guys a guitar that doesn't make SOUND through an amp, we want to have Epiphone remedy this situation and send you WORKING guitars.


That's the reason for the wait. I didn't want to say anything until I had permission because NOBODY want's to make Epiphone or EMG angry.

I don't know if I can believe this one or not. For starters, I'm sure that these were tested before they left QC at Epiphone, right? And, does Chad want us to really think that they opened every guitar (in two shipping boxes) and tested each and every guitar? Come on! I'm starting to think that something is up here.

Lets look at this logically.
357 customs developed a promotion along with Zack Wylde to pretty much give away a zillion guitars in exchange for... promotion.
OK. Sort of good so far.
Of course.. as expected and predicted by most of us... after set backs and delays a few people actually get guitars. This gives a ray of hope to the thousands waiting.
Then... we get the news that Epiphone shipped guitars with non-working pickups. How the heck do they know that? These guitars were made overseas, packed into a container and theoretically should be in transit to the US. Did he open every box and check them out or did the Epi factory discover their error and notifiy Chad of the issue. What did Chad do when he found out. Are these 10's of thousands broken guitars still hitting the US shore or are they going to return them back to Korea? Sounds to me like good old Chad just bought himself another 6-8 weeks.
Maybe he is banking on buyers backing out.
I bet the next thing you will hear is that he will be honoring anybody who got in on this deal a full refund and they get to keep anything they have received so far as a good faith gesture.
In todays manufacturing environment stuff like this just doesn't happen on a large scale. Epi overseas checks every guitar before it is shipped. They do it right after they string it up. The inspector even initials the little tag before it is boxed up. They may not be set up to perfection but they are at least WORKING!!!

This is all dog poo! I'm seriously thinking about doing a charge back on my CC. There is no way that even one guitar made it though QC with non working pickups. Every guitar company at least measures pickup output with a voltage reader if not actually playing it through an amp as it is being tuned up.
This is a very blantant lie and Chad has involved Gibson/Epiphone as well as EMG into this mess now. Watch out, this is going to get pretty messy...
