Postarrhea is a sad affliction. Maybe we could start a fund to find a cure for it. We could get Sally Struthers, but Ron and Toejam would get perpetual boners. I'd be more than happy with my posts set at 101 for ever. I hope it works out for the best for these guys as I said way back on an early page. And if it comes to be, I like my crow grilled with Franks Red Hot Sauce drizzled on top of it please. The Buzzard does not fear

Ok, this whole thing is really get weird now. Some of the guys on the SD forum have doing some research on "President Dan" and found out he used to be president of another company called Invinca-Shield. This company was sponsering Nascar racers and offering gift certificate and diecast Nascar replica deals to the public with the chance to win a brand new race car. The only problem is the sponsorship money never came through and they were sued by the race team. I believe the company went bankrupt. Check it out.....
BTW, if you check out the 357 site they are getting into the nascar business.

Yesterday, I e-mailed the confirmation to 357 that the diecast had been delivered back to them. Later in the day, I received and e-mail from them stating that they refunded my credit card. I haven't seen the credit hit yet but it usually takes a couple of days for my CC website to update such things, so we'll see.

Further developements.....
It's hard to say much now while being responsible and not saying anything slanderous. So, given that, I will say this:
1. As others have discovered via Google and Yahoo searches, the current 357 Customs owner Daniel was the President of a company back around 1999 called Invinca-Shield.
2. As of 2000, Invinca-Shield began again as a new company with a completely different ownership.
3. While Invinca-Shield was owned by Daniel, they contracted to sponser a NASCAR team. During that time, the money contracted for was not given to the team and the team missed races because of it. That team took legal action against Invinca-Shield. No further details about that legal action and it's results have been found yet. This is all we know: http://www.motorsport.com/news/artic...&FS=NASCAR-GDS
4. At some point in time, 3 investors were convinced to invest in Invinca-Shield. Each investor invested something like 20-30K. At some point in time, those investors became unhappy and filed suit against Invinca-Shield and Daniel. The lawsuit was dismissed as Invinca-Shield and Daniel were found to have done nothing wrong. The plantiffs/investors just did not do their own homework period.
5. While at Invinca-Shield, Daniel ran a promotion where people got $75 gift certificates for Invinca-Shield products, a NASCAR diecast of the car Invinca-Shield was supposed to be sponsering, and a chance to win a brand new Monte Carlo. What happened with that promotion, we do not know the final results of, we should know tomorrow.
6. At some point in time previously, there were a group of people who had been looking for Daniel for quite awhile and who could not find him. This is somehow in regards to investment money and these people are from the Elkin, North Carolina area. At this point, it would NOT be responsible for us to elaborate further because we do not have all the details and are in no position to make any judgement on if anything was done wrong. Individuals at the current Invicta-Shield company were surprised to know that we were in contact with Daniel. This may stem from this: http://www.motorsport.com/news/artic...&FS=NASCAR-GDS which was covered in #3 above.
Let me sum up by saying we have NOT found a smoking gun. We have NOT found anything that would make us cancel our orders. We will continue to look into things.
