Is the quality of a knock-off as good as the "Name"? Many times, yes. That is why you can buy a great item for a lot less if you can see and feel what went into it and it feels like the "Real" thing.

Jack. The last 150+ days have not been "nice" for a very, very lot of people. Suckers? Maybe. Diehards? Maybe. But reality is going to suck when all this is going to crash. Thank goodness, when I piss in the wind the only thing that gets wet are my shoes.Last edited by fett; 05-23-2006, 06:55 PM.I am a true ass set to this board.

well i ordered mine on Feb 1st, 2006 and i just called citibank, even though there chargeback period is only 60 days they do make exceptions. So after going through a bunch of questions they approved my chargeback even though it has been over 3 months. I have a nice shinney diecast, lets see if she still sends the guitar and mp4 player, but i am not holding my breath, if he denys my chargeback you guys who are waiting for the refund will know you are all shit out of luck.

When I read VitaminG's post, I immediately thought about you typing as fast as you could registering on the Black Label boards and posting it. I of course was assuming you weren't already a member. I was just trying to spread some humor around.
This story is all over the web, and I didn't bring it to any of those places, so I don't see the punchline of your humor.Ron is the MAN!!!!

It's not like I'm the one who took your money under false pretenses like 357 did, or told you it was cool like your BLS bro Chad did.

I (and I feel most othersl) went into this knowing that the guitar end of the deal sounded too good to be true. Fuck it. I'll spend the $130 bucks for the toy and the gift certificate. It's worth it to see if I actually get a guitar. Thats how I went into this and I'm getting sick of reading how I got scammed and how I should have known better. I knew full well what I was getting into and expected nothing more than a toy and a gift certificate. My kids love the bike and my wife likes the hoodie I got with the gift cert. End of story. If the guitar came, great! If it doesn't, oh well.
I totally respect anyones opinion about this being a scam and can see that point clearly. What I can't stand is hearing that we all got rooked. I knew full well what the risk was and was willing to take it. If anyone else went into this deal not knowing that and feels like they got rooked then thats exactly what happened to them and I feel bad for them, but I don't feel like that is the majority of the people on this board that got into it.
I lost $35 and bought $100 worth of shit I normally wouldn't have. That to me was a worthy risk to maybe get a $800 guitar. I would do it again (maybe not with 357 )
I'm not trying to cause a shitstorm. It's all good. Its just that you can only take so much of "you guys got scamed" in this thread. I think most of the skeptics are more happy that those involed didn't get there guitars than we would have been if we did get them.

I'm still going to be sitting/sticking/sinking it out. I've received all of my merchandise. If I don't get the guitars I'll chalk it up to lesson learned. I was skeptical of the promotions from day one. That is why I saved their e-mails, all of the item description files saved on two hard drives, and any other pertinent information. Yeah, I was skeptical, but I decided that for myself it was worth the qualified risk. It didn't hurt that I had the discretionary funds available where it wouldn't hurt my wallet if it doesn't pan out. Now, will all the information that I've saved help me if I get burnt? Hell no, but so is life. You live and learn. We have yet to see what I've learnt from this lesson. When it's done and over with and I do get blistered, you'll be the first to hear me say..."damn dude, you were right".
Also, if I step back and think about it. Once the screaming of "get the fuck out" really started, I was well out of the 60 to 90 day chargeback window since my orders were placed in December, and the guitars weren't supposed to ship until March.
jgcable, you're excluded from the above remark. You were screaming scam from the get-go.
Last but not least, I'm sure as hell not telling anyone to join the Black Label board. It's a total waste of time. Fairly entertaining reading, but it does get old after a while. I do recommend that anyone involved in the promotions sign up on their e-mail list as that's how I've received the majority of the e-mails regarding them.

Hell, who's to say I won't do a little kicking when we do get them!
The above sentence is based on "if", as has been this whole thread.
Jim...I couldn't agree with any of your posts more! +1 to infinity!!!

Jim, I get your position. You felt it was a risk all along. so if you don't feel scammed, rock on man. You don't have to say any more.
Where I think you're wrong is in saying that most of the people who went in on this knew it was a risk too. I think most of them were pulled in by Chad Dyer of the BLS site and board saying the deal was legit. Slayer Jack has said he can't afford to lose the money, and I think a lot more feel that way, but are ashamed to say so, since some are saying they should've known that from the gate.
Anyway, I wish y'all were getting your guitars, and if you do I'll never be happier to have been wrong. But I don't think I am wrong, and I DO think y'all got rooked - except you, Jim, and anybody who declares that they knew all along that a guitar was a chancy thing. And I don't think anyone will want to display their 357 diecasts or wear their merch once the shit hits the fan either. I think a Winger t-shirt will be cool as shit compared to a 357 t-shirt, but that's just me. If you got BLS merch with your gift cert, then that'll be cool.
People have tried to warn y'all and you're pissed at the messengers. Sorry I bothered, and good luck.Last edited by lerxstcat; 05-24-2006, 02:37 AM.Ron is the MAN!!!!
