Thanks for clearing that up Jack. I really thought you may have had inside info on this.

This topic has been very dramatic and the center of attention here for a while. While I don't condone anybody making fun of someone else's financial loss, you should expect some comments. Afterall, I am sure that if everyone would have got their guitars, all of us who passed on the deal would have been more than reminded of what we missed out on. If anything you can expect the old "I told you it was to good to be true" type comments.
      Damn, I love this Interweb.

      • Dude!

357 really wants to thank all the people who have been supportive of our company. We are still working to resolve the promotion we were in and will continue to do so until completed. The company has grown a lot in the last several months. "Never give up" is an attitude that has definitely formed. In light of this and our newest friends, we created the 357 Special Forces t-shirt. Again we thank you for your support as we continue to structure and grow.

$27 via paypal...Maybe this is how they're trying to pay for stuff to send out. Or maybe Daniel is just an idiot and dosen't know when to quit

          • Un-fukking-believable. Had is Had. Whether it's you guys that, in good faith, participated in the promotion, or Zakk (I didn't know, OK, yea), or Chad (who is a fish), the money is lost and into pockets of those who could not possibly deliver all those guitars. What is good about this whole situation is that people are getting "Web-Wise" and banding together. From now on, this kind of bullshit will be harder to pull off.
I am a true ass set to this board.

                • Never eat crow is more like it. I'm gonna sit on the sidelines and wait. The case demands a jury trial.. we'll see. I half expect an out of court settlement.. yep a buyoff (what else?) by 357.

Same here. I was only in on the first deal for the gift cert and the die cast. Yes I lost 30 buck for the shipping of the guitar, but thats it. No I wouldn't have bought that crap if it werent for the guitar, but my kid loves the chopper (I gave it to him for his birthday) and my wife likes the jacket. I dont' consider it a loss at all and don't have one bit of regret for going in on it. I knew that it may never come to pass and was willing to take a chance based on that. I have stated that fact a bunch of times in this thread, yet still I keep reading how I was scammed or robbed or ripped off. this was not a planned scam IMO, but a failed promotion, but that really makes no difference at this point.

Now those of you who got in on the MP3 are the one who should be pissed. If you at least got those, it would't be a total loss.

Especially when I hear about these parents (some of you guys) that bought in to this for their kids, it's sad
I got in on this thinking that I would give it to my son for his 9th birhtday along with lessons. The guitar was free. I would have gotten away looking like a hero and paid nothing for it. I ended up getting him a Squire Strat at GC for $180 and he's getting his lessons. I had planned that as a back up along. Don't feel bad for him or me. It worked out fine.

I ain't eatin shit. I never said it was a sure thing. I just couldn't stand hearing what a mistake it was for me to get in on this. We all are responsible for our own decisions. I'm not unhappy with mine.

I really can't wait to see how this lawsuit pans out.

                      • I am and have been with sambencuda from the start..I'm out 30 bucks..I went in to this with my eyes open, prepared to NOT get the guitar. I really like my shirts and my husband likes his..cool. They still have NOT cashed my check for shipping. I have not (nor do I expect) a refund for the 30 bucks to ship the non existent guitar. I have nothing to be pissed about..that's just me. Don't tell me to get a refund and be mad, when I don't think I have a right too. And don't tell me I was stupid to do this, that was my decision and I am OK with what I did.

                          • Hmmmm. I'm wondering if the earlier "promise" that everyone would still receive their guitars even if they get the refund and/or send the bikes back was BS or was it because they could see the settlement terms coming a mile away?
Don't these things usually end up as either an out-of-court settlement for delivery of promised goods or the judgement for the plaintiff being "give the refund AND the goods"?

                            • No, these things usually drive companies into bankruptcy and, after the company's assets are sold off, consumers are left to settle for pennies on the dollar along with other creditors.
