my tenancy agreement is due for renewal at the end of april. if i move, i need to save up a deposit (1 month's rent). i would rather save up for another guitar or go out a few times, but i am unsure whether to trust the landlord to renew the contract. he ignores all tenants requests for repairs and loves charging bullshit "admin" fees. but i don't want to move because its so much hassle. i've not breached my agreement in any way but he did hassle me for not shifting a pc desk into my room a couple times. i would hope i get to renew because i want to save for a rx10d in amber burst. is it worth the risk?

Re: prepare for home move or buy another jackson?
i stand to lose whether i move or not. if i move, i get my deposit back 2 weeks after departure but this is "less admin fee" - i don't know how much this will be. if i stay (renew the contract), i get charged 50 quid "admin fee".Fuck ebay, fuck paypal

From your description, get out now...
Lots of time for guitars later, but you do not need the stress of this kind-of situation going bad...
Bad landlords are bad news!
Your home is your castle...If you can't be happy in it, guitars will not help (that much, lol! )

Guitars are great god knows I love em .But unless they are making you a living then life comes first.Get your finances in good shape get to somewhere that your happy to live and try to build up some savings.I had a pretty big collection of guitars then my fiancee ruptured disks in her back lost her job and boom real money trouble. We had a good savings account built up and I sold all but 3 of my guitars so we have gotten through it and I am hoping we are out the other side now.My experience tells me if you have to use the phrase "should I gamble" when considering a guitar purchase then it is wise to save your money.I am an older guy and believe me when I tell you guitars will come in and out of your life many ...many...many... times .Of course all this is just my experience and I am certainly not telling you how to live your life, that is on you....I am having enough trouble living mine .Good luck what ever you decide man.

Your landlord is a crook. Fees for this, fees for that.
It should be, security deposit, 1st months rent...you get the deposit back, when you move out, no bullshit fees for moving. There should be no lease renewal fee bullshit, or any of that.
