i missed it, but Prince is a bad ass on the guitar. to bad his songs don't showcase that skill very often.

When he opened the Grammys or VMAs or whatever a couple years ago (last year, maybe?), He came out with one of his funky shaped Shecters. Either the cloud guitar or the symbol guitar.

he proceeded to shred it like a mofo. My jaw hit the floor.

Prince is alright in my book.

Couldnt be said any better. And yeah, Prince can play his ass off. You should see him live, when he really has time to shred. Anyone see the performance he did when he was inducted into the R&R hall of fame? He usually plays a Tele.

Also, its not just guitars...He played every instrument, every track on his first three or four albums.

The guy is a musical genius. A little wierd maybe, but arent we all.....

Yes, he can play everything and everything very well...including the guitar. He is indeed a musical genius/prodigy. I wish I had his talent!!!

Yep, Prince can tear it up! I learned that in 1984 and had a lot of friends laugh at me when I told them so. Seeing and hearing is believing though. I'm not into most of his music but you can't argue his talent.
