As far as 'adult' decisions are concerned, it was EVH and Iron Maiden when I was 11, but:
I used to love music as a kid, so had a 'pretend' acoustic guitar from the age of 6, so I guess it should really be whoever wrote 'Puff The Magic Dragon'!!

ACE.............I wanted to BE Ace, and when you are six..that is mighty powerful, brotha.

Roger that. Ace got me interested but Randy was the reason I finally picked up a guitar (much to the chagrin of all of my neighbors over the last 25 years).

guess it was die toten hosen (german punk/rock-band) and maybe rammstein. I listened a lot to them in my early years...
first tracks I played was some red hot chili peppers, where I copied the vocal-line on my one string guitar (the other five were missing when I first got my fathers old crappy guitar out of the attic), and later when I knew how to tune a guitar and got my first 6-string experience, I jammed some hammerfall!! I had a buddy who showed me the mighty power-chord and I was addicetd right after...
roope latvala brought me to jackson then. I was (and still am) a huge waltari-fan, and I just loved the way this rhoads looked.
I think it depends on what as popular at the time you hit guitar buying/playing age, and what was hot in your area or with your friends. In my area in 1983-1984, Iron Maiden, Dio, Queensryche, Accept and Scorpions were hot at the time. I think the first song I started playing was rock you like a hurricane.
I think EVH and Randy came a couple of years too early for me. Savatage (Cris Olivia) & Metallica showed up too late (in my area) to be "First".
This is gay, but when I heard the first two power chords on Rock Rock till Ya Drop by Def Lep, I wanted a guitar real bad. After that, it was Eddie, George, and Randy.

Ace was a close second, then EVH...
Metallica Ride the lightning sealed the deal when it came out and I started playing about 2 months after I heard it.
When you take a shower in space, you have to press the water onto your body to clean yourself, and then you gotta vacuum it off. - Ace Frehley
Ok, well I'll be showing my age here. The guys that FIRST made me want to pick up a guitar around 11 or 12 years old, (and I did) were Alvin Lee (TYA), and Blair Thornton (BTO). I liked Bad Company too. Remember, this is early to mid 70's, before I discovered Sabbath. Then Tony Iommi was my hero, followed by Rhoads and Maiden when they first made the scene. Naturally, then Metallica.
