I just find a setting on my POD that I don't normally use and start noodling. Came up with a very cool mellow thing last night - sort of a bluesy Monster Magnet riff and a cool lead to go on top of it.

I've been trying to listen to different shit, but I keep coming back to my roots.

What I think has to happen is, I just need to take a few days off of work, and away from everything. Isolate myself from all responsibility for awhile, and just start fucking cranking out some tunes.
