+1 on all of that. Especially the Foo Fighters. Their new album kicks. And U2 is still a viable rock band. Some would argue, the biggest band in the world today. They are one of a few, if not the only band that can sell out no matter where they play. Stadiums, arenas, doesnt matter.
Ya gotta respect their staying power.

I'm not into any sort of mainstream pop/rock stuff anymore--I watched a bit of the Grammies, and my wife had to explain who most of the folks onstage were, like I had just arrived from outer space or something. [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]
Before the telecast, I honestly had thought that John Legend was a country singer and that Keith Urban was an R&B guy, based solely on their names. Legend actually is a very talented R&B singer/songwriter, while Urban is a country singer--though he looks like a wuss who would probably get his ass kicked if he walked into a real cowboy bar...

U2 has a couple okay tunes, Coldplay sucks ass! And while I don't own any Foo Fighters albums, they are a kick-ass band and I've enjoyed just about every song I've heard of theirs. Dave Grohl has more talent than U2 and Coldplay combined.I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.Comment

Look, I like U2. While many of their latest efforts haven't been stellar, you can't dispute their contribution to the landscape of modern rock. Boy, War, The Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby...all great works.
Anytime I see ROCK bands winning Grammys instead of that hip-hop SHIT that seems to sweep the awards every year, I am satisifed.
Fuck Kanye West...fuck him in the ass.

Personally, I think Bono is a very good singer. Very unique and identifiable voice and comes up with cool melodies.I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.
