That was just bad ass... The car doing the donuts/burn out during the opening ceremony, and the fire works.

How long into the ceremonies was that, Flame? Did your show start at 8? So, maybe around 10 PM Pacific for me?

(I'm watching it now, the ice skaters are forming into the shape of a ski jumper)

                  Re: Ferrari at the Olympics

                  > Sasha Cohen is pretty damn sporty. Other than the overall American medal count, the only thing I pay attention to is the speed skating. Chad Hedrick just won the gold in the 5000m,and is on his way to possibly tying the greatest achievement in WO history,5 golds by Eric Heiden in 1980. Chad doesn't have great technique, but has a superior cardio system, and is just a horse physically. He runs people into the ground like Steve Prefontaine did back in the 70's. In case you aren't familiar with Pre,he held every American running record between 1000 and 10000 meters, the very first pair of Nike shoes ever made were made just for him,and his college track coach Bill Bowerman was co-founder of Nike. His quote before running in the 1972 Olympics in Munich is still one of the strongest statements any athlete has ever made. When asked what his strategy was,"I'm going to try and work it out so at the end it's a pure guts race...because if it is....I'm the only one that can win". If he had done the same thing he always did, which was front run until everyone else puked trying to match his pace, instead of listening to his coaches and hanging back until the last 4 laps,he wouldn't have been chased down at the end. I work during the day and really only care about the NHL'ers playin hockey. Unfortunately due to the time differential I'll only get to see it on the weekend. I haven't watched anything events thus far.
