Re: Most valuable guitar?

My SG is unavailable at any price. I could part with the others, though, no problem. The Soloist would be tough but I could see it go if I had to.

+1... though in some cases that price has nothing to do with current market value

My Charvel Model 88 as it was the first really nice guitar that I owned and has a lot of sentimental value.I would have a hard time letting of any the Archtop Pros go for a resonable price.Any of the others would be tough but I could live without them.

mine would have to be the Gibson Les Paul Studio my wife bought for me....it has an extreme amount of sentimental value and it goes to the grave with me.....

I will NOT sell:
My first guitar
The first guitar I built
The second guitar I built(half of)
My Gibson SG that I've played 90% of my live shows and toured with.

I'd have to say my RR1. It's my first USA Jackson, and the BEST playing guitar I have ever played. But..if worse came to worse..it could be for sale. Not planning on it, but never say never is my motto.

It's going to be the one I am stripping now. Between that and the paint job I want to do, I will be into this for a very long time. But it is fun, I think.

There is no guitar or amp that I am attached enough to keep forever. They are just strings and wood to me. I play them. I abuse them. I toss them out and get new ones. Sometimes I don't even play them and they get kicked to the curb. I was the same way with girls when I was single. I guess its a trait of mine.

Re: Most valuable guitar?

my the paul my dad gave me about a decade ago, he used it live for a while before that, and its what got me started. the finish naturally worn off of the neck makes it magical, but the frets are in a major need of replacement; problem is im not too keen on trusting anyone with that kind of thing.

I wouldn't sell

my Tele because it was my first guitar
my Model 2 because it was my second guitar
my Flying V because it was my third guitar

not counting acoustics of course.
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

My Fender Strat. I've had it for 6 years and it's the only guitar i haven't thought of selling on. Too much sentimental value in that guitar. Alot of memories with it too (sounds wierd huh?)
