We went out to a cheap dinner Saturday at TGIF and IMO, staying home and cooking is most always better. After not going out for a while, you start to forget, and want a dinner you don't have to clean up after making etc, but seems that unless you go to a really pricey place, something is always iffy.

At least I know when I make it, it will be the way we like it. I prefer cooking a nice dinner any day. Luckily, I cook fairly well. haha...

And of course the home made cream sauce afterwards is nice...

I prefer to be romantic when it fits, and doing all the V-Day stuff hurriedly after work on a friggin Tuesday, when people have to be up next day at 5, have kids with homework, AND are preparing resumes, well that all just pretty much takes a bit of natural romance out and does make it forced.

They should make it like a the second Friday or Saturday of February, haha...

Ha Ha hmmmm I kicked my ex wife out of my house after she stopped by. I didn't call my current GF. I am not very nice. Then again I am so anti-holidays that force you to buy into their commercialism on the specific day they decide.

Did the steak dinner thing. V-day is kind of odd for us because our wedding anniversary is 4 days later. I kept up with doing cards and gifts for both, but after we had our daughter I started goind broke. Now I combine valentines and the anniversary into one night. This weekend is gonna be fun, kid gets dumped at the Nana's and the parents get to play.

Roses, candy, card, balloons and Teddy Bear all ordered online and delivered for my wife. She got me a card as she knows after nearly 18 V-days together I don't want anything [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

My sons got me cards and a couple t-shits, one of them with a squirrel holding a sword that read "protecting my nuts"

No going out to dinner but the woman picked me up a chicken sammich from Chilis [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Well, the benefit of having a birthday the day before V-day is that I usually have V-day off. So even though I had plenty of time to prepare things, I spent a good part of the day sitting on my ass.

As far as V-day being a fake holiday, I agree to a certain point. Not to sound like I'm bragging, but I cook and do things for my wife quite often. Hell, sometimes I'll even make dinner for her parents.

My woman can't cook too much, so I'm most ALWAYS the chef here. Not sure if that's a brag or a complaint... Prolly the latter, haha..

Well I had planned an evening out with the Wife (Japanese Dinner reservations, Movie, Flowers and card) But some friggin freak in a hooded black sweatshirt decided to break into my back yard pool patio and scare the sh!t out of my kids! I just got a 3rd shift Monday...so my kids ran into my bedroom telling me there is some strange man who just tried to break in the house. In broad daylight! 3:30pm. My wife had just got home with the kids from school! My kids were sitting down at the kitchen table for a snack. I guess when the perp looked in the window, he saw my daughters yelling for help and ran out of the patio and backyard covering his face. F@ckin scumbag! Needless to say the police have been patroling the neighborhood. They have a description and I've been sleeping downstairs with a baseball (I'm really thinking about a Glock purchase!) So our Valentines date was put on the back burner cause of some F@CKIN SCUMBAG! This world is so messed up!
