A friend of mine saw him open for Schenker recently and said Uli was uninteresting, drawn out, long songs, un-Scorpion-like and boring. This is from a guy who's a music fanatic who knows a ton of info on everyone. I respect his opinion. Just his 2 cents, let us know how it was when it's done.

I saw Uli on that tour and it was like a religious experience, even though he was playing to backing recordings. It's not like he was going to pay to bring his orchestra on the road, after all.

If you're looking for meat-and-potatos hard rock like Schenker does, then Uli's definitely not your guy. Uli has pretty moved beyond playing any one genre of music. I had the exact opposite experience at that show. Schenker's set bored me to tears except for a couple of his tunes that I really like ("Lights Out" and "On and On"). Pretty much just the same old hard rock stuff. And I say that being a guy who likes Schenker's playing. He just didn't blow me away the way Uli did.
