The irony here is that this has been coming for a very long time. You can track the one-way ratcheting down on our liberties through at least the last few decades of jurisprudence and it's all been done by courts that are arguably as far left as we've ever had in this nation (you know, the one's you'd expect to champion civil liberties).

It'll be interesting to see if the press is as interested in this issue as they are in Bush's terrorist survellence program. Wholesale monitoring of Americans seems a far more egregious abuse than listening in on phone calls where one party is both outside the US and a known or suspected affiliate of terrorist organizations that would like to do us harm. Why do I suspect the media won't see it that way?

No No No... I do say you have to have a soner view though that any person or gov't wants anything about you there is nothing you really can do. Is it right? Hell no. Is it fair? No. Should you stand up against it? Yeah. I have no problem with the camera's in public places but it sure as hell scares me what liberty the gov't will take next. At the same time can't you see why Mrs. Tekky would be in favor of it? I have never fallen victim to a sexual predator and never will likely but to help prevent it from happening to someone else I am for. The grey area is what is reasonable and what is taking our freedom.
