Yo ! A dozen roses is so cliche, everyone does that ! Think outside the bun man ! Do something totally YOU and not every other guy in the world.

How about a beautiful indoor plant to signify your UNDYING love for her and a blank card that you write YOUR personal message to her...perhaps even a poem off the cuff.

I'm telling you, this will melt her and make her think all men aren't alike !!

Roses dude. Long stem. Expensive. Chicks have been digging it for centuries. Once a year, velvet roses are available. They are even more expensive. Get those. If they don't have them, tell the florist you want the best dozen roses that they have. Pay extra for a killer arrangement too.

When it comes to sending flowers, spare no expense. Its not about the money when it comes to flowers. If you can afford it, go for it. If you can't, buy her a single rose and give it to her in person.
BTW.. guys have been impressing their girlfriends forever by spending money. It starts with dinners, it progresses to jewelry, it leads to a kick ass engagement ring (which is usually the most money you ever spent on anything in 1 shot)and after you marry them it gets progressively worse.
Hey, if you can bone her and get away with a cracker jack box ring and a trip to Wendy's for dinner, more power to you but it usually doesn't work that way. You can do that shit with girls but it usually takes more when you are dating women. Especially educated professional HOT women.
I am not talking about spending money all the time but when you are talking about sending a girl flowers you need to do the right thing.

You know, sometimes finding out what the woman's favorite flower is and giving her those is a very nice touch. Not all women like roses! Although, I do like the idea of a single rose and a note - you can always leave it on her care, in the door of her house/at the door of her apartment. Sometimes going full out with a dozen or whatever can be a little over kill. Also, if you know she likes a certain color - get flowers in that color.

The plant could work - just make sure that your note does say something fitting -Although flowers are beautiful, this plant represents my long-lasting, growing feelings for you.

Flowers are great. Send it to her work or where she will receive it with an audience. Chicks love the attention that she will get from others. On another note, have you thought about sending lingerie? Women enjoy nice lacy things as most of us enjoy seeing them wearing it.
