• New practice/recording/transcribing room

Man...let me start off by saying moving sucks!! You never know how much stuff you have till you do so ...I'm tellin ya.

Anyway..we've moved here to Jacksonville on Camp Lejeune and are pretty much setup.

Here are a few pics of the preliminary setup...I still have stuff to unpack and put away/organize, and all the electronics aren't 100% hooked up....but, it will happen.

I'm trying to keep this area more organized than before, and having more floor space will help.

I have a lot more room to work and write stuff down using the old computer desk, so, I'm hoping this will allow me to use my time more wisely in regards to practice.

I still have to decorate also...have my Charvel and Jackson banners and a bunch of other stuff to put up on the walls.

Congrats on the new digs Sam and Krista!!!How are Phoebe, Charvie and Tex doing? I get my new Boston this weekend, we've already named her Molly.

That's an AWESOME practice room!! How are the acoustics?
Don't forget the corn. It's nutritious, delicious, and ribbed for her pleasure.

Looking good Sam. I'd like to visit Lejeune again someday, I haven't been there in years.

The pups are doing fine thanks....they're still figuring out how to stop on hardwood floors tho

It seems loud in there...maybe it's the floors....and the cab is directly on the floor now....so you can FEEL it

I like it...it's still a work in progress...but, it will get there...now I have to put the hours in to get back in shape and get back on stage

You need to carpet the floor. Also, you should put drapes on the windows. Its loud because of the acoustics. You have too much of them! Nice looking space.

                Re: New practice/recording/transcribing room

I hearya about moving, Sam. Just handed in my keys to the old rental agent last Friday, so I'm officially into my new digs in Toowoomba now. And then spent Saturday helping a friend move. So that's two moves (and all the heavy lifting, cleaning, etc) in a row. I'm well over it.

Great little space you have there. That sure is a lot of reflective surface there though. Maybe throw down a rug? Good idea using the old PC desk for the POD/monitors/4-track setup. Plus you've got a little space to do some writing too.
                Hail yesterday

I've got the same computer desk in my bedroom, but my recording room, I've got an old kitchen table.
