Here's my dumbass parent story. This was when I had one daughter and she was around 3. I was at an outdoor mall. Beautiful day so it was crowded. Anyway, there is a playground in the middle that is fenced all around, so I let my daughter play in there as I park myself right next to the only gate and start reading the paper.

After a short while, I look up and I don't see her. No biggie, she's probably behind one of the structures, so I go walking around the playground and start to panic as I can't find her. I do a couple more rounds, can't find her, and I'm starting to shit in my pants, and I'm about to scream bloody murder.

But before I do, I see a toy store out of the corner of my eye and I run in there, and there she was playing with some trains. She had climbed over the fence to get into that toy store.

Anyway, I guess the moral of the story is that no one can be a perfect parent. We all make our mistakes.

Sorry, dude. I really do feel sorry for her going through that. No-one should. But I feel more sorry for the kid, who has a mother that irresponsibly puts her child at serious risk. That should stop right now.
