• Smashing through the Terabyte barrier

Ok, so far I've got the following hard drives:

1 13 GB
1 20 GB
1 40 GB
1 60 GB
1 160 GB
2 180 GB
4 250 GB

for a total of 1,653 Gigabytes of hard drive space.

That's 1.6 Terabytes.
Close enough to 2 Terabytes to smell it

I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

*yawns*

*Looks at File + Print Server/Router/DNS +DHCP server*

*Thinks of the 10 x 400GB Disk Raid 3 Array it´s using*

*laughs*

But seriously, 1.5 TB is quite a bit for a "normal" private user... at this point... in 2 years it will be standard

Its not the size of your terabyte....its how you use it that counts.-Lou

Midget porn takes up less space than real porn.

Re: Smashing through the Terabyte barrier

Gay midget Clydesdale porn to be exact - they look like those little dolls you mount on your car antenna and watch them flail in the wind down the highway

Actually I'm just a pack-rat. I rarely delete anything I think I might want or need. Plus it's always good to have a spare drive big enough to backup certain things on.

I bought the 160 GB last night; a USB drive. I had a 2.5GB Seagate pocket drive thing that was doing great with my laptop for use at work, but I dropped it and of course it died as a result
So I went to get another one. Surprise, no more in stock. I spotted an external notebook drive (40 GB) for $120. It's slim and compact. Then I spied the 160GB full-size USB drive....for $120.
It's not as slim nor as compact, and has its own power supply, but hey, it'll fit in my laptop bag and I can take it to work, so that makes it portable

Now I just have to find a power strip that has about 20 outlets on it
I've got one that has 10, but that's powering:
Monitor
CPU
Scanner
Printer
4-port USB adaptor
Video Capture device
Speakers (one plug for all 3 speakers)
A pair of Behringer Studio Monitors (one plug each)
A string of lights under my computer desk (originally meant for lighting up curio cabinets and whatnot shelves, but works great as a night-light so I don't trip over my guitars heading for the toilet in the middle of the night )

Of course, the other wall outlet where that one's plugged in is being used by a 10-outlet power strip for my music gear, and it's full as well
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

talk about turn offs, I once saw a midget porn, "Snow White and Seven Dwarfs"

it was some italian movie

that chick sucking those 2" "things"

I don't want to see anything like that again

it was probably BillZBub's wet dream

If you don't describe it, then Bill most definetly will do that
