Gary Moore's blues albums are pretty cool.

Some of Jonny Winter's stuff is cool as well. And there's always George Thorogood.

um, there's this band called Led Zeppelin. they were from the 1970's. I heard they played a lot of blues based rock.

I suppose I should have mentioned more recent stuff since I already listen to a lot of classic rock and all those legendary guitarists.

I guess I was thinking of lesser known dudes but as mentioned above Johnny Winter and Jimi are must have's if you don't already. How about the first winter album and the "blues" cd of jimi stuff.

Yeah, I'll have to check out Winter. I've heard about him a bunch of times.

I picked up a 3 disc bootleg of Gov't Mule back when Sharing The Groove was still up and running. Got it because Corey Glover joined them on stage.

                    They are very very good.

Jimmy Thackery is very cool. Tinsley Ellis has some cool stuff as well. The Gary Moore blues albums are definitely rocking. Dave Hole is excellent...Junior Brown is awesome, great tone. Hendrix is certainly blues based rock...so is ZZ Top, especially the early stuff. Robin Trower may peak your interest...get Bridge of Sighs....

Sleep. The sound doesn't collapse to riffs of early eyes either.
